Isabelle Alison Bermudez: Isabelle is the daughter of Edward and Frances Bermudez of Sarasota. She attends Saint Stephen's Episcopal School, where she serves as a student ambassador and the editor-in-chief of the school's online newspaper, is a member of National Honor Society and French National Honor Society, and is a varsity cheerleader. Isabelle is also an active member of the Church of the Redeemer and has traveled to the Dominican Republic twice on mission trips.
Claire Armstrong Cornetet: Claire is the daughter of James and Kim Cornetet of Sarasota. She attends The Out-of-Door Academy, where she is captain of the swim team, plays on the polo team, has served as the Thor mascot and vice-president of the Community Service Club. Claire is active at Church of the Palms Youth program, participating in mission trips, camps and is an acolyte. She enjoys art, the YMCA Sharks Swim Team, the Sarasota Shooting Team and participating in the American Cancer Relay For Life.
Rachael Marie Cramer: Rachael is the daughter of Thomas and Joanmarie (King) Cramer of Sarasota. She attends Riverview High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Papillon Club, orchestra, and varsity track and cross country teams. She has received the Florida State Music Teachers' Community Service Award and is the recipient of the Sarasota Music Teachers' music scholarship for piano. Rachael is an active member of St. Martha's church as a vocal soloist and a music volunteer at Sunnyside Manor. In the community, Rachael is a member of the 4H youth development organization.
Sophia Elizabeth Dalabakis: Sophia is the daughter of Susan E. Gregory of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School for the Gifted and is an active member of Sarasota Christian Church. Sophia traveled to Costa Rica on a youth mission trip in June 2012 and was very excited to share her faith with young school children and to help build wells that will provide safe, clean drinking water. Sophia plans to attend the physical therapy program at Florida Gulf Coast University and then the clinical doctorate in physical therapy also at FGCU.
Katherine Amanda Flanders: Katherine is the daughter of Charles and Diann Flanders of Osprey. Kate is an honor roll student at Pine View School, where she is president of Students Working Against Tobacco Club, vice president of the Rowing Club, an accomplished sixth-year clarinetist, and on the news publication staff. She's earned multiple Scholar Athlete Awards, is assistant captain for Sarasota Crew and coach of the outreach rowing program. Last summer, she rowed for the United States Junior National Team, earning a position to train in Berlin, Germany. She volunteers with beach clean-ups and Gulf Coast Community Blood Bank.
Alison Ginger Greenfield: Alison is the daughter of Gordon and Kathleen Greenfield of Lakewood Ranch. Alison attends Lakewood Ranch High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, the Quill and Scroll Club, the Spanish Club and the Academic Team. Alison was a foreign exchange student, spending last summer in Córdoba, Spain. She has studied piano and volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Power Hour tutoring program for elementary school students.
Chloé Nicole Hayes: Chloé is the daughter of Michael Hays of Bradenton and Julia Hays of Lakewood Ranch. She is a dual-enrolled student attending Lakewood Ranch High School and the State College of Florida. She is a member of the Academic Team and National Honor Society, as well as participating in the AP program. She is a volunteer for the EF foundation, a global program that increases cultural awareness. She also assists with local beach clean-ups and is a library aide. Her interests are pia
no, traveling and art/photography, with one published piece to date. Chloé pursues a career as a biochemist or anatomist.
Lauren Dewel Jeffrey: Lauren is the daughter of Al and Leslie Jeffrey of Sarasota. She attends Riverview High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Interact and marine science internship. She is the incoming president for the Executive Intern Program. She has also won three Art Achievement awards. Lauren serves on the board of directors for the Sarasota Bay Watch and the Community Youth Development. Lauren is an avid diver with several different certifications and is member of Church of the Palms Presbyterian Church.
Delaney Marie Kapusta: Delaney is the daughter of Mark and Rhonda Kapusta of Sarasota. She attends Riverview High School, where she has received the IB Learner Profile Award and Art Achievement Award. She has been active in Community Youth Development and is the teen board member of the Children First Policy Council, a nonprofit board that reviews Head Start schools in Sarasota County. She is a volunteer at the Sarasota County Animal Shelter, and traveled with the Gulf Gate Church on a mission trip to Motastepe, Nicaragua, to help build a home for a local family.
Taylor Suzanne Karp: Taylor is the daughter of Richard and Tammy Karp of Sarasota. She is active in many aspects of her school life at the Out-Of-Door Academy. In sports, she participated in lacrosse and varsity cheerleading. Additionally, she serves on several school committees including Homecoming, Be the Change and Yearbook. Most recently she appeared in the schools spring theater production. She is involved in the American Cancer Society as a team captain of Relay for Life. She now has her sights on volunteering for Girls Inc., where she hopes to be a positive role model for young girls.
Jacqueline Lee Landry: Jacqueline is the daughter of Christina Landry of Sarasota. Jackie attends Pine View School, where she is a founder of the Chinese Club and an active member of the Archives Program documenting Pine View's development and the John D. Woolever History Club. She has been inducted into the National, Rho Kappa and Mu Alpha Theta honor societies. She serves on the board of Visit Sarasota County. Jackie is an avid tennis player and has won many junior singles tournaments at the Field Club and Longboat Key Club. She is the High School District Division I Girls Singles Champion.
Cassidy Ann Marryott: Cassidy is the daughter of Thomas and Mary Marryott of Osprey. She attends Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School. Cassidy is a nationally ranked rower and assistant captain of Sarasota Crew. Cassidy is the founder and president of the Cardinal Mooney Rowing Club and an advocate in the development of Nathan Benderson Park becoming a world class rowing venue. Cassidy is an active member of Epiphany Cathedral Parish in Venice. In the community, she contributes her time to coaching new rowers and helps with the Miracle Baseball League.
Savannah Elizabeth McGee: Savannah is the daughter of Pamela and Steven McGee of Bradenton. She attends Manatee High School, where she is in the AP program and has served on student council each year. She is very involved with Mam'Selles Service Club and is the only member in her grade who has held a position on the board all four years. She dedicates a great deal of her time to Younglife and their ministry. She is a WyldLife leader for King Middle School and loves spending time with her seventh-grade girls Campaigner Group.
Jennifer McGinness: Jennifer is the daughter of Lee and Diane McGinness of Sarasota. She is in the international baccalaureate program at Riverview High School, is a member of National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and Students Against Hunger Club. She has been elected vice president for 2013-14 in the Papillon Club, a mentoring program for freshman girls, and is on the staff of the Tartan Yearbook. In the community, she is a summer classroom volunteer at Forty Carrots preschool. She is also a flute player, a certified scuba diver and a member of the Church of the Redeemer.
Katherine Elizabeth Merrill: Katherine is the daughter of William and Karen Merrill of Sarasota. She attends Sarasota Christian School, where she is involved with the touring choir. She is an avid tennis player and also plays volleyball. In the community Katherine attends Bayside Community Church; she volunteers at Teen Court and for The Humane Society of Sarasota County, Inc., and has volunteered for Cat Depot. She has interned at a local law firm and is planning a career in criminal law.
Kelly Kathleen Pacifico: Kelly is the daughter of Dr. Daniel and Colleen Pacifico of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society, Tri -M National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society and is the Environmental Club president. A pianist, guitarist and composer, she received three Gold Cups at the National Federation of Music Junior festival. As a member of Pine View Vocal Ensemble, she has performed at Carnegie Hall and Disney's Epcot. Kelly enjoys fencing and is a Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound for St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Carlton Elaine Robinson: Carlton is the daughter of Rob Robinson and Lisa Carlton of Sarasota. She attends Cardinal Mooney High School. Carlton has served as a class officer, and is an officer of the Respect for Life Service Club. Carlton is an attorney for the Teen Court Program, was selected as an intern for Mote Marine, and was appointed to the Sarasota County Health and Human Services board. She a member of the Sarasota Chamber, Youth Leadership Program. Carlton has served as a page in the Florida Senate. She is a certified scuba diver and is a member of Sarasota Baptist Church.
Emily Abigale Schofield: Emily is the daughter of Dr. Brian and Traci Schofield. She is in the international baccalaureate program at Riverview High School. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, Scholar Athlete, Vice President of Interact Club, a mentor for freshman girls. Emily is a third-year varsity tennis player, winning a state title her freshman year, and also is a USTA competitive tennis player. In the community, Emily volunteers for Sarasota Teen Court and Make-A-Wish. Emily also a member of The Church of the Incarnation.
Shelby Baker Schwartz: Shelby is the daughter of Mark Schwartz and Maudie Baker-Schwartz of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School, where she is a member of the Art Honor Society; Diversity Council and Save Darfur club. Shelby's art design was chosen for the front of the school's Peramathon T-shirt. Two of her photographs were exhibited in the Ringling College of Art and Design summer art shows. Shelby is a volunteer with Sarasota Manatee Association Riding Therapy. She volunteered at the Gulf Gate Library as well. Shelby is an intern with the Observer newspaper. She is also a member of Cotillion.
Shawna Elyse Sims: Shawna is the daughter of Shawn Philip Sims and Mary Sims of Nokomis. She attends Venice High School, where she is a member of the Spanish National Honor Society as well as a peer tutor. Shawna is involved in American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and a strong supporter of wildlife rescue. Shawna is a co-captain of Sarasota Crew, where she has been rowing competitively for six years. Shawna received a gold medal at Youth Nationals Championship in the lightweight four. She plans on furthering her rowing career by attending an NCAADivision 1 university in 2014.
Alexandra Deane Watson: Alexandra is the daughter of Steve and Edie Deane Watson. She attends Bradenton Christian School, where she is vice president of her junior class, member of the National Beta Club and yearbook staff. She serves as varsity volleyball captain and is goalie for the varsity soccer team. Alex's artwork was entered into the 2012 Congressional Art Competition and the chosen piece hung in Ringling Museum of Art during this time. Alexandra is involved in the community through membership at Trinity United Methodist Church, Reinaunce Service Club and 15 years of dance with Tracey Vita School of Dance.
Mary Rose York: Mary is the daughter of William and Rosemary York of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School and is a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society. She is a member of the Pine View Chorus and the Chemistry, Chinese and Rowing clubs. She is a varsity coxswain on Sarasota Crew and is a Scholar Athlete. She has been a delegate for People to People and an alumni of the National Youth Leadership Forum. Mary is a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and youth group, where she has been an altar server for nine years.
