Manatee deputies looking for missing homeless woman

May 8, 2013

MANATEE -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of a homeless woman.

Marietta "Mary" Harris has not been seen since March 23. She is known to frequent the areas of Fifth Street East and 57th Avenue East; and 15th Street East and 57th Avenue East.

Sheriff's spokesman Dave Bristow said Harris was reported missing by her mother, who sees her every two or three weeks. Deputies have checked homeless camps in the area but have not found Harris, who suffers from medical-related disorders.

Investigators do not suspect foul play, Bristow said.

Anyone with information about Harris's whereabouts can call detectives at 941-747-3011, ext. 2493, or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS
