The Manatee Education Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2013 Anna Maria Oyster Bar Culinary Arts Scholarship.
The restaurant will award five $1,000 scholarships, Applicants must be a graduating senior from a Manatee County School District public high school, have at least a 3.0 GPA and plan to enroll in a full time Culinary Arts, Hotel/Restaurant Management or Hospitality related preparatory program at an accredited trade or technical school or an accredited Associates Degree program leading to a Bachelor's degree majoring in Culinary Arts, Hotel/Restaurant Management or Hospitality related field
or an accredited Bachelor's Degree program majoring in Culinary Arts, Hotel/Restaurant Management or Hospitality related field.
Candidates will be evaluated on academic performance, financial need, involvement in school and community activities and a one-page typed essay about the candidate's desire to major in the culinary arts or related hospital industry career.
