Minor injury keeps Manatee High's Ace Sanders out of second day of Jacksonville Jaguars rookie minicamp

May 5, 2013

Manatee High product Ace Sanders was held out of Saturday's second day of Jacksonville Jaguars rookie minicamp with what head coach Gus Bradley called a minor groin injury, according to the team's website.

Sanders, a fourth-round pick out of South Carolina as a wide receiver and punt returner, participated in Friday's workout and tweeted "Good first day ... Still gotta improve but it'll come."

Bradley said the decision to hold Sanders out of minicamp Saturday was "more precautionary than anything."

Before workouts started, Sanders told the website the reality of playing in the NFL was setting in.

"Now, this is really a job," he said. "You have to be on top of everything. It's not school. You have to work for everything. You've been playing football all your life. It's a dream you're living in. Now, you're getting paid for your dream."
