K-9 stops Manatee burglary suspect

— Authorities used a K-9 to stop a suspect attempting to flee after a failed attempted burglary, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Eddie Lee Hall Jr, 42, was attempting to break into a home on the 2300 block of 18th Street Court East at 5:29 a.m. on Saturday, according to a news release.

Hall, broke several windows and gained access but fled when the homeowner left in search of him.

A K-9 deputy located Hall and ordered him to stop, but he attempted to flee, The K-9 cornered and challenged him.

Hall was bitten in the arm by the K-9. He was treated for his injuries before being taken to jail.
