Manatee County National Day of Prayer events

The Manatee Religious Services and Manatee County Ministerial Association plan three National Day of Prayer events:

• A Kiwanis Prayer breakfast at 7 a.m. at the Renaissance on 9th.

• Palmetto Historical Park, 515 10th Ave. W., 9 a.m., open to the public. Mayor Shirley Groover Bryant will open the program.

• Recording artist Sheila Raye Charles, daughter of singer Ray Charles, will perform during a prayer service at 11:45 a.m. at the Manatee County Courthouse, If raining will move to the First United Methodist Church on 11th Street West.
