Weather alert: Showers, storms likely on Wednesday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday afternoon and evening in Bradenton, according to the NationaL Weather Service.

Skies are expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 83 and easterly winds of 6 to 9 mph. The chance of rain is 60 percent, mainly between 2 and 11 p.m., forecasters said.

Thursday night, skies will remain mostly cloudy, with a low around 67 and easterly winds of 9 to 14 mph. Gusts could reach as high as 20 mph, according to the Weather Service.
