Prep softball | Bayshore-Tampa Blake game suspended by rain in first inning

HERALD STAFF REPORTMay 1, 2013

— The Bayshore softball team has waited eight years to play in a region semifinal.

So what's one more day?

Tuesday's Class 5A-Region 3 semifinal between the Bruins and Tampa Blake was suspended by rain in the first inning with the Yellowjackets leading 3-1. There will be one out with Blake runners on second and third when the game resumes at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Blake.

Bayshore (16-8) has won 15 of its past 17 games.
