Weather alert: Showers, storms possible Tuesday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday in Bradenton, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters are calling for partly sunny skies, with a high near 85 and east-southeasterly winds of 8 to 10 mph becoming southwesterly in the afternoon. The chance of rain is 30 percent, mainly after 2 p.m., according to the Weather Service.

Tuesday night, skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 69, with light and variable wind becoming east-southeasterly around 6 mph after midnight. The chance of rain is 30 percent, mainly before 8 p.m., according to forecasters
