Weather alert: Showers, storms possible Monday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday in Bradenton, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters are calling for partly sunny skies, with a high near 84 and east-southeasterly winds of 6 to 16 mph becoming south-southwesterly in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. The chance of rain in 50 percent, according to the Weather Service.

Monday night, skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 66 and southeasterly winds of 7 mph. The chance of rain is 50 percent.
