Parrish man seriously hurt in 2-vehicle crash

MANATEE -- A 20-year-old Parrish man was seriously injured and three others received minor injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of U.S. 301 and County Road 675 in east Manatee County.

The accident occurred at 6:39 p.m. Friday, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

A 20-year-old Bradenton woman driving a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic was cited by the FHP for failing to yield right of way when she pulled out in front of a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado which was traveling north on U.S. 301 approaching C.R. 675, according to the report.

The injured Parrish man, who was taken to Blake Medical Center, was her passenger, according to the report.

She received minor injuries.

The two people in the truck, including a 22-year-old Wimauma woman who was driving and her passenger, a young boy, received minor injuries, according to the report.
