Manatee law agencies taking back unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday

April 26, 2013 

MANATEE -- The Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition, local law enforcement agencies and Walgreens stores on Saturday will be accepting potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday as part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

You can take your medications for disposal to one of these locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:

Walgreens 1455 Upper Manatee River Road, Bradenton. 6003 14th St. W, Bradenton. 5896 Cortez Road W, Bradenton. 930 8Eighth Ave. W, Palmetto. 5945 U.S. 301, Ellenton.

Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, 600 U.S. 301 Blvd., Suite 202.

Holmes Beach Police Department, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach.

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
