MANATEE -- A woman and her two young children were robbed at gunpoint Wednesday evening in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff Office.

About 10:20 p.m., the woman and children, ages 7 and 2, arrived from church to their home in the 600 block of 58th Avenue Drive East, Bradenton. They were immediately confronted by two masked gunmen, according to a news release.

"One of the suspects grabbed (the woman) and pointed the gun at her and the other grabbed both children and pointed the gun at them," the report states.

The suspects demanded they be given everything, otherwise they would kill the children, according to the sheriff's office.

The gunmen grabbed items from the woman, as well as things from the house. They then fled out the back door, according to the report.

Both suspects were described as speaking Spanish. They were wearing gloves, white shirts and black shorts and carrying black pistols. They were wearing masks, one black and one gray, according to the sheriff's office.
