Weather alert: Showers, storms likely in Bradenton on Monday

MANATEE -- If rainy days and Mondays get you down, consider yourselves warned.

The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms are likely Monday, with the best chance of rain occurring between noon and 2 p.m.

Forecasters are calling for mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 83 and easterly winds of 5 to 8 mph becoming west-northwesterly in the afternoon. The chance of rain is 60 percent.

Monday night, the chance of rain drops to 30 percent, with the best chance coming before 8 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 64 and northeasterly winds of 11 mph.
