Gunman robs Waffle House restaurant in Bradenton

MANATEE -- A masked gunman robbed a Waffle House restaurant in Bradenton early Wednesday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 12:47 a.m., the suspect entered the Waffle House at 603 67th St. Circle E., near the Interstate 75-State Road 64 interchange. Brandishing a gun and wearing a black T-shirt covering his head and face, the suspect demanded money, according to a news release.

The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

"A diligent search was conducted but the suspect could not be located," the report states.
