SARASOTA FILM FESTIVAL SPECIAL EVENTS

The Sarasota Film Festival continues through the weekend with plenty of film screenings and special events planned.

TRIBUTE LUNCHEON

When: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 12

Where: Sarasota Yacht Club, 1100 John Ringling Blvd., Sarasota

Details: The Tribute Luncheon is star studded and intimate event. This is an up-close opportunity to witness well-deserved awards to a group of recipients for varied achievements.

Cost: $200

CINEMA TROPICALE CELEBRATION

When: 8:30-11:30 p.m. April 12

Where: Sarasota Yacht Club, 1100 John Ringling Blvd., Sarasota

Details: The Sarasota Yacht Club plays host for the Cinema Tropicale. Enjoy tropical dining selections, cocktails and live music at this island-themed celebration. Cinema Tropicale honors Florida filmmakers and visiting artists from around the world. Your ticket includes exotic foods and drinks.

Tickets: $150

FILMMAKER AWARDS & CLOSING NIGHT FILM

When: 6 p.m. April 13

Where: Sarasota Opera House, 61 N. Pineapple Ave., Sarasota

Details: The Sarasota Film Festival's annual salute to the filmmakers and artists whose work inspires and provokes us. This year's award presentation will be followed by the 2013 Closing Night Film which is "Frances Ha."

Tickets: $25 for film/$125 VIP

LATE NIGHT UNWRAP PARTY

When: 11:37 p.m.-2 a.m. April 13

Where: The Francis, 1289 N. Palm Ave., Sarasota

Details: The Wrap Party is the final late night of dining, dancing and discussing our favorite films. VIP level includes complimentary drinks and appetizers, while everyone has access to the dance floor, a cash bar, and DJ.

Tickets: $30/$100 VIP
