Bradenton man dies in Charlotte County accident

CHARLOTTE -- A 73-year-old Bradenton man was killed in a traffic crash in Charlotte County on Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

About 8:53 a.m., Guillermo Gonzalez failed to yield the right of way and turned his 2006 Corvette into the path of a SUV driven by a North Port man. The accident happened at the intersection of County Road 776 and Winchester Boulevard in Charlotte County, according to a FHP news release.

The 64-year-old driver of the SUV was not injured.
