LAKEWOOD RANCH -- Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella" will be presented by Nolan Middle School students at 7 p.m. April 26 and at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 27.

The show is directed by Marilyn Branning, Nolan Middle School chorus and drama teacher.

Tickets are $5 at the door and children under 5 get in free. Doors open 30 minutes before the show. Nolan Middle School is at 6615 Greenbrook Blvd. Lakewood Ranch. Call 941-751-8200 Ext. 2054.

Walk to cure juvenile diabetes set April 13

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- A walk to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is set for 10 a.m. April 13 starting at Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

The JDRF is the largest nonprofit organization aimed at finding a cure for diabetes. The walk is organized, in part, by "Emmabella's Believers," supporters who have raised more than $85,000 in the last six years. The group is named after Emmabella Rudd, an 11-year-old Sarasotan diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 5.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. Call Tricia 941-730-4042.
