Police seek information about Bradenton slaying

BRADENTON -- Homicide investigators hope the public can provide information about who killed Carlos Alberto Jurado on Monday evening at a Bradenton apartment complex

A 29-year-old man was shot to death at a Bradenton apartment complex Monday evening, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

About 6:24 p.m. Jurado. 29, was walking in the 300 block of 26th Avenue West, in the Sheridan Place Apartments, when someone shot him several times, according to a Bradenton police news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said there was a large crowd present when they arrived on the scene. Jurado was killed in the southeast parking lot of the apartment complex.

No other information about the slaying, which is being investigated by the Manatee Homicide Investigative Unit, was released.

Jurado's death is the third homicide of the year in Manatee County, and the third within the city limits of Bradenton. It also is the third case to be investigated by the countywide investigative unit, which was formed in January.
