Cheers to Manatee County No Kill for regional honor

March 30, 2013

The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council's 21st Annual Future of the Region Awards honored Manatee County Animal Services in the community service category with second place for innovation for the agency's No Kill program.

The award noted that the county "is working to change the image of Animal Services from a place where animals die to a place where animals find homes. ... all dedicated to saving the lives of animals."

Yes indeed. Kudos to Animal Services for both the award and the program.
