Sarasota shooting victim goes to Bradenton for treatment

SARASOTA -- A man with gunshot wounds arrived at Manatee Memorial Hospital for treatment Friday morning, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

About 3:10 a.m., the 23-year-old victim was taken to the hospital by a friend. He was not seriously injured.

The shooting occurred near Kay's Lounge, 4034 N. Washington Blvd., Sarasota, according to the sheriff's office.

The unknown male suspect was described as standing about 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds.
