Weather alert: Sunny skies, warmer temps on Friday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- A warming trend after chilly temperatures earlier in the week, was expected to continue Friday in Bradenton.

The National Weather Service was calling for sunny skies, with a high near 73 and east-northeasterly winds of 7 to 11 mph.

Friday night, skies were expected to remain mostly clear, with a low of around 50 and north-northwesterly winds of 6 to 8 mph becoming easterly after midnight.

For the Easter weekend, the Weather Service was calling for sunny skies, highs in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s. No rain was expected.
