HERALD STAFF REPORTMarch 23, 2013

BRADENTON -- What will Manatee County look like in 10 or 20 years? The League of Women Voters of Manatee County invites residents to participate in the plans that will shape our county. A free public program will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 25 at the Bradenton Woman's Club, 1705 Manatee Ave. W.

County planning official John Osborne will present the current options and lead the discussion about ways to prevent sprawl and traffic congestion, protect our natural resources and farm lands, while creating economic growth and vibrant communities.

A meet and greet, refreshments and brown bag lunch begin at 11:30 a.m., with the talk starting at noon. For more information, call 729-9248 or visit www.lwvmanatee.org.
