NMCA Muscle Car Nationals: Bradenton Motorsports Park, 21000 S.R. 64 E., Bradenton

The 11th annual NMCA Muscle Car Nationals will be 9 a.m.-6 p.m. March 23, and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. March 24. This event features the Chevrolet Performance LSC Challenge, car shows and racing activities. Tickets: $20-$75, children ages 12 and younger are admitted free. For a full schedule, visit

Rock-n-Roll Family Easter Festival: The Tabernacle Church, 4141 DeSoto Road, Sarasota

The Tabernacle Church will host a Rock-n-Roll Family Easter Festival 10 a.m.-noon March 23 featuring a helicopter egg drop followed by an egg hunt for ages 1-12. There will be games, crafts, music, a puppet show, bounce houses and more. The church will be serving hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and drinks at no charge. Mobile Ministry will be distributing bags of groceries and provide free shopping for clothing items for free to families in need. The festival is free and open to the public. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast will host a "BIG" Car Show 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 23 featuring all makes and model cars and prizes and trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Classic, Kids Pick, Exotic, European and Best in Show. "Day Out With Thomas: The Go Go Thomas Tour 2013": Florida Railroad Museum, 12210 83rd St. E., Parrish

Bring your preschoolers to take the ride of their lives at "Day Out With Thomas: The Go Go Thomas Tour 2013," with 25-minute train rides departing every 45 min., rain or shine, beginning at 9 a.m. through 3:45 p.m. March 23-24. The event provides children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas as well as participate in Thomas & Friends themed activities. There will be an inflatable slide, bounce house, face painting, inflatable snail obstacle course, G-scale train display, hayrides, a mini-tire train ride and more. The Church at Bradenton will hold its sixth annual Easter Egg Hunt 2-5 p.m. March 24 near the amphitheater at G.T. Bray park. Egg hunts are: 2:30 p.m. for ages 2-3, 3 p.m. for ages 6-8, 3:30 p.m. for ages 4-5 and 4 p.m. for ages 9-11. Other activities include bounce houses, face painting, toddler egg hunt and more.
