Earth moving equipment transport sand at the Perico Preserve restoration project Friday as crews begin shaping the landscape of the new park on State Road 64 West. The sand is being transported to the Manatee County wastewater plant in the 5100 block of 65th Street West for use in its $13 million lake filtration system and north pond improvements project.
