LUBBOCK, Texas -- A Bradenton man on Friday was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, after he pleaded guilty in November to one count of possession of child pornography, prosecutors said.
According to the factual resume filed in the case, while living in Lubbock Miles Robert Flinn, 26, used a file-sharing program on his computer to download images and videos from the Internet, including child pornography. Officials found the child porn on his computer hard drive on July 26, 2011, according to a news release from the U.S. attorney's office for the Northern District of Texas.
The case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, , a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to target child exploitation and abuse.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and the Lubbock Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated the Flinn case.
