Sarasota sheriff investigates death as homicide

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office was investigating as a homicide the death of a man found near a Sarasota intersection early Wednesday, according to a news release.

Steven B. Palasz, 44, was found about 3:36 a.m. near the intersection of Fry Street and Carter Avenue, in the Pinecraft area of Sarasota.
