BRADENTON -- Manatee Community Federal Credit Union is hosting an affordable car sales event at the 13th Avenue Dream Center, 922 24th St. E., from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will raise money for the center's "Dollar for Dreams" campaign designed to enhance the Dream Center's mission of providing a clean and safe learning environment that will allow central Bradenton youth to gain self-confidence and self-reliance skills that will help them achieve their dreams.
Manatee Community will donate $200 for every sale to the Dollars for Dream campaign supporting the 13th Avenue Dream Center.

Wetherington Homes to break ground
EAST MANATEE -- Lee Wetherington Homes is about to break ground on its newest community in Marshall's Landing, off State Road 70 in Manatee County.
The waterfront enclave of 37 homes has 34 sites available, and Lee Wetherington Homes will break ground on a new model there within 60 days. Every home in the gated community is designed to have a waterfront view.
Dale Key of Sandals Realty Sarasota will be the onsite sales representative for Lee Wetherington Homes.
Lee Wetherington Homes' new model in Marshall's Landing, the Osprey, will have an Island Colonial theme. Prices will start in the low $500s and homes will be from 2,300 to 4,000 square feet. The two-story Osprey model is expected to be complete before the end of this year, but homes are available for sale immediately.
