From left, Bayshore Bruins Robotics team members Michael Lanza, Zack Zofrea, Michael Meador and Cameron Powell work together to build a robot they designed to compete in the Vex Robotics World Competition in California April 13-17. It's not much to look at now, but in about a week the basic construction will be finished, then it's on to the programming and testing phases as the school prepares for the upcoming competition. When finished, the robot must be able to act autonomously as well as under the team's control to accomplish a set task in a given amount of time in the presence of other competing robots.
