MANATEE -- A woman was cited with careless driving after a vehicle accident that caused minor injuries to herself and two children Saturday morning in east Manatee, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

About 8:09 a.m., Belinda Waiters, 35, was driving eastbound on Chattum Light Run in a 2009 Toyota Camry.

Waiters took evasive action, steering to the right, when she saw another vehicle approaching westbound. The front of Waiters' vehicle collided with the side of a parked car, a news release states.

Waiters said sun glare decreased her visibility, according to FHP.

Her vehicle overturned after the impact, coming to a final rest on its roof, blocking all of Chattum Light Road.

Waiters and a 14-year-old passenger were taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center with minor injuries.

A 1-year-old passenger was taken to All Children's Hospital with minor injuries.
