SARASOTA -- The Sarasota Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was found in a vacant field behind an apartment complex Thursday morning.
Officers responded at 7:55 a.m. to the 1800 block of 19th Street after receiving a report of a man lying still in a field.
The man pronounced dead at the scene was identified as Jovonne Corn, who is in his 20s, according to police.
The case is being treated as a homicide investigation, a news release states.
