MIAMI BEACH -- A body of a nude man, in his 20s washed ashore in Miami Beach early Thursday morning.
The body was found about 2 a.m. near 25th Street and Collins Avenue after a passerby spotted the unidentified male and called police.
The victim doesnt appear to be that of a homeless person, said Miami Beach police spokesman Bobby Hernandez.
He was rushed for an autopsy so they can figure out why he died. There were no signs of trauma. Were hoping someone knows him and will call in a missing person report, Hernandez said.
Students from the nearby EF International Language School on Collins Avenue hit the sand in the morning when they saw police action in the area, NBC6 reported.
I was with my friend and I saw the police men going to the beach so we went there and we saw a dead body and it was so incredible cause its the first time that Ive seen that in my life, Alexandra Mathiu told NBC6. Its just so scary because its in front of our school.
