The recently re-opened Golden Apple Celebrity Theater has closed again. The Golden Apple Dinner Theater was evicted from its home of 40 years in September and re-opened with a slightly different name and some new owners, in late December. It staged just one show, a comedy called “Viagra Falls,” before it was shuttered once again. “The tenant turned over the keys,” said Charles Bartlett, the attorney for Golden Coast of Sarasota, the company that owns the property. “They had a long-term lease and they had fallen behind on the payments. If they had not turned over the keys, eviction proceedings would have been initiated.” Bartlett said the Golden Coast of Sarasota is talking to several prospective new tenants.
