Bradenton teen caught with stolen GPS, other property

Published: March 12, 2013

— A 17-year-old was caught with stolen property early Tuesday, including a GPS that had just been stolen, deputies say.

Manatee sheriff's deputies stopped the teen at 4 a.m. today and located a GPS in his possession, along with other suspected stolen property. During the stop, a call for service at a woman's Bradenton address went out for a burglary to a conveyance that had occurred within the last 45 minutes on Flamingo Boulevard.

Stolen from the vehicle was a GPS and a cell phone. After some investigation it was confirmed the GPS on the young man in custody was the victim's GPS. He was arrested and charged with burglary to a conveyance and theft. He was taken to the juvenile booking facility.
