DNA left at burglary scene in northwest Bradenton

— Blood was found on a broken window and frame at a northwest Bradenton home that was burglarized some time Tuesday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect entered a residence in the 7100 block of 15th Avenue Northwest by breaking a window in the kitchen. Fingerprints and DNA were collected from the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies found pry marks on another window and door. A pry tool was located outside the broken window. The front door was unlocked and appeared to be the exit point, a report states.

Several items were taken, including a handgun, according to the sheriff’s office.
