Recap: Arizona vs. Mexico

Humberto Cota's RBI single in the fifth inning was the only run of the game as Mexico took down Arizona, 1-0, on Tuesday.

Cota, Edgar Gonzalez and Ramiro Pena all had two hits while Luis A. Garcia scored the lone run of the game for Mexico, which is preparing for the upcoming World Baseball Classic. Yovani Gallardo pitched one inning and seven other pitchers combined for the four-hit shutout.

Alfredo Marte's double was the lone extra-base hit of the game for the Diamondbacks. Ian Kennedy tossed three innings of two-hit, one-walk ball.
