Richard's Foodporium expands to new warehouse

SARASOTA -- Richard's Foodporium's corporate headquarters recently moved into a 22,000-foot warehouse complex in north Sarasota, offering the company much-needed office space,

The new space "creates tremendous logistical and distribution benefits for the future," said John Rorer, proprietor of the Richard's Foodporium chain.

Boasting 17 retail locations throughout southwest Florida, Rorer credits the store employees' training and dedication to customer service and building relationships for the chain's success.

"Through years of consistent effort, we've built a trust and loyalty with them that's time-tested and shows through the awards we continue to win without ever asking them to vote," Rorer said.

The company will be launching a series of new products and initiatives, including a high-tech mobile app for smart phones and tablets. Calling 2013 a "game-changing year for Richard's," Rorer said the company also plans to expand its line of private label items, including gourmet oils, salsas, teas, snacks and body care products.
