Sheriff: Man robs girlfriend in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Manatee sheriff's deputies tried but failed to find a 38-year-old man who robbed his girlfriend after they got into an argument early Thursday, according to the sheriff's office.

While driving together, they began arguing. About 2:10 a.m., the victim exited the car while in a parking lot in the 4600 block of 14th Street West. While she was walking away, the suspect grabbed her arm and demanded money, according to a news release.

The woman complied, and the suspect fled the area on foot. Deputies, including a K-9 unit, searched the area, but they could not find the suspect.

The victim was not injured, according to the sheriff's office.
