Recap: Toronto vs. Minnesota

Published: February 26, 2013

Joe Benson and Eddie Rosario each belted two- run homers to help power the Minnesota Twins to an 8-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.

Rosario added a single in his two at-bats, while Justin Morneau and Aaron Hicks each went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Minnesota.

Twins starter Mike Pelfrey struggled in his spring debut, with the offseason pickup tagged for three runs and five hits in 1 2/3 innings of work. Ryan Pressly and Blake Wood combined for 3 1/3 scoreless frames in relief of the right-hander.

Adam Lind reached Pelfrey for a two-run homer in the bottom of the first, with Andy LaRoche delivering a solo shot later on for the Blue Jays. Both LaRoche and Rajai Davis finished 2-for-3 with an RBI in the loss.

Toronto's Ricky Romero made his first start of the spring and served up Benson's homer while tossing 1 2/3 innings.
