MANATEE -- A 21-year-old man wanted for a shooting in Sarasota was arrested Tuesday morning in Manatee County, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Trae Ward, who has four prior felony arrests for similar charges, was arrested in the 7000 block of 44th Court East by the Sarasota sheriff's Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the U.S. Marshal Florida Regional Task Force.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Ward after witnesses said he and his brother Ryan shot at a 44-year-old man several times after the victim tried intervene in a dispute between a man and a woman. The victim was not injured.

Ryan Ward was arrested Saturday. He is being held without bond on a charge of aggravated assault at the Sarasota County jail.
