MANATEE -- A gunman wearing a Halloween mask robbed a 7-Eleven store in Bradenton early Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

At 1:55 a.m., the suspect entered the store at 2604 53rd Ave. W., went to the counter, displayed a gun and demanded the two clerks give him money from the cash register. The employees complied, and the suspect left the store in a northeasterly direction, according to the release.

No one was injured.

The suspect was described as wearing a checkered shirt, according to the sheriff's office.
