Center Pointe opens in Ellenton

Center Pointe Homes has opened its first model home at South Oak in northern Manatee County.

Within months of the company's founding, Center Pointe is showing its 2,024-square-foot Cantania design at 3506 13th St. E in Ellenton. The floor plan features four bedrooms, three baths, a study and three-car garage.

South Oak is just north of U.S. 301 and west of Interstate 75.

Center Pointe Homes, based in Winter Haven, Fla., offers homes priced from the $140s. Its floor plans range from 1,305 to 2,752 square feet of living space. Ryland Homesbuilding new model

Ryland Homes has started construction of a four bedroom model home at Grey Hawk Landing. Tony Crimi, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes in the Tampa Bay, Sarasota-Manatee area, said the 2,840 square foot Inverness model home with three and one-half baths, is the largest home Ryland plans to build at Grey Hawk Landing with some of the largest family living space in the area.

Crimi said the Inverness model design features a huge kitchen that serves a breakfast nook and counter facing the dining room, a family room, living room, game room and screened in extended lanai for family living and entertaining.

Ryland plans to build 40 new three and four bedroom homes at Grey Hawk Landing located off of S.R. 64, east of Interstate 75.

First Watch marketing officer among top 50

The Chief Marketing Officer for Bradenton-based First Watch restaurants has been named as a Top Private Company CMO for 2012.

ExecRank named Chris Tomasso in the top 50 based on feedback from evaluation committees and top chief marketing officers. ExecRank based their results on 24 key areas. Tomasso was ranked 48 out of the 250 private company marketing officers that made the list.

Tomasso's work has "helped to further his company's reputation for providing a fantastic dining experience," said Adam Navrozally, analyst for the rankings division of ExecRank. "He is highly regarded in his industry and amongst other marketing executives."
