Weather alert: Early Wednesday morning fog, daytime sunshine in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Early morning fog Wednesday was expected to give way to another sunny day in Bradenton, according to the National Weather Service.

The fog was expected to affect portions of Manatee, Sarasota, Desoto, Hardee, Highlands, Charlotte and Lee counties, including along Interstate 75, through 6 a.m. In some areas, the fog will reduce visibility to near zero, according to the Weather Service.

Otherwise, forecasters were calling for partly sunny skies, with a high near 76 and light northerly winds becoming northwesterly at 6 to 11 mph.

Wednesday night, skies were expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 60 and north-northwesterly winds around 8 mph becoming easterly after midnight.
