Jana Kramer parlayed her starring role on CW's "One Tree Hill" into a credble country music career. She was already a successful actress when she released her eponymous debut album last year.
Her hit songs "Whiskey" and "Why Ya Wanna" no doubt got a running start up the charts when she sang them on the show, and her album became one of the biggest country albums of 2012. She was nominated as best new artist at this year's Country Music Awards.
She'll be at Joyland Friday night to give us a chance to see if she's as polished and appealing in person as she is on screen and on disc.
Details: 7 p.m. (doors) Saturday, Feb. 15 at Joyland, 5520 14th St. W., Bradenton. $10 advance, $15 at the door. 941-756-6060, Joylandcountry.com.
