13-year-old boy arrested after Bradenton burglary

MANATEE --A 13-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday evening about 15 minutes after a bicycle he was riding was reported stolen in a burglary in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The victim called 911 at 10:33 p.m., to report that his bicycle had been taken during an apparent burglary at his house in the 6000 block of First Street East, according to a news release.

At 10:47 p.m, a deputy spotted the suspect with the bicycle down the street from the crime scene, according to the report.

There were no signs of forced entry at the victim's house. He told deputies that his house keys had been stolen about three days earlier, according to the report.
