The 2013 Symetra Tour schedule was released Tuesday morning. The developmental golf tour will hand out 10 fully-exempt LPGA Tour cards to the top 10 players on the money list for the second consecutive season.
For local golf fans, the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay Country Club is slated for April 26-28.
It's the second year for the event, but the first with a title sponsor.
That isn't the only new change to this year's Symetra Tour schedule.
Four new stops are scheduled, including the season-opener held next week in Mesa, Ariz., and two additional tournaments in the Sunshine State.
Those two new venues are the famed Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor, where players will compete on the Island Course, and at the Palmer Course at the Reunion Resort in Kissimmee.
One more twist comes at the season-ending Symetra Tour Championship, held Sept. 26-29 at LPGA International's Champions Course in Daytona Beach. That event is expanding from a three-day tournament to a 72-hole contest.
