SARASOTA -- An 18-year-old passenger was killed after he was ejected from an overturning truck about 10:05 p.m. Saturday on south-bound Interstate 75, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

The victim was identified as Mitchell Davis of Nokomis.

The crash occurred at mile marker 201 when for an unknown reason the driver lost control of a 2002 Toyota Tundra, the FHP reported.

Suffering serious injuries in the crash were two passengers, ages 21, and 17. The driver suffered minor injuries. All are from Sarasota County.

Charges are pending.
