St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church is celebrating its 29th Greek Glendi, a Greek Festival, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Feb. 8-9 and noon-8 p.m. Feb. 10 featuring Greek food, music and culture. Guided church tours are every hour starting at 1 p.m. daily. Proper dress required, no food or drink allowed. Admission: $4, children ages 11 and younger are admitted free. Parking is free. Holmes Beach Art District Artwalk: various locations, Holmes Beach

Island Gallery West, The Artists' Guild of Anna Maria Island, Restless Natives, Libby's Jewelry and Gifts, Beach Life AMI, and Island Tattoo will host public receptions 5:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at their individual locations as part of the monthly Holmes Beach Artwalk. The public is invited to visit Village artists at work in their studio and get a better understanding of the creative process during the Annual Village of the Arts Open Studio Tour 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 8-9. The 109th Annual Florida State Fair "Discover the Fun": Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa

The 2013 Florida State Fair "Discover the Fun," a salute to the state's best in the agriculture and equestrian industry, runs through Feb. 18, and will include an abundance of exciting shows, thrilling rides, food, shopping, and a concert series on select nights featuring top bands, including Starship featuring Mickey Thomas and the Bellamy Brothers. Gates open daily at 9 a.m. and closing time varies by the day of the week and weather conditions. Admission tickets: $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-11, children ages 5 and younger are admitted free. Ride armbands: $25. Parking is free.
