MANATEE -- Sheriff's detectives are looking for a second suspect in the fatal shooting of James Brady on Jan. 20 in Bradenton.

That night, Brady, Jared Lee and Charles Jones, dressed in black and wearing masks, approached two men outside a home in the 4200 block of 24th Street West and tried to rob them. A gunfight broke out with one of the victims and Brady, who was armed, was shot to death, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Jones and Lee fled the scene.

Lee was arrested Friday and charged with felony murder and armed robbery -- the same charges for which detectives have obtained an arrest warrant naming Jones as a suspect. Lee is being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.

The felony murder charge was filed because someone died during the commission of a crime.

The victim who shot Brady has not been charged.

Anyone with information about Jones' whereabouts can call the sheriff's office at 941-747-3011, ext. 2159 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
