Kelly Johnson on his way to Tampa

The Tampa Bay Rays and second baseman Kelly Johnson have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed in the Fox Sports report.

Johnson spent last season with AL East rival Toronto and batted .225 with 16 homers and 55 runs batted in. He is a career .255 hitter with 108 home runs and 390 RBI in 933 games with Atlanta, Arizona and Toronto.

The 30-year-old veteran's best season was 2010, when he hit 26 homers, drove in 71 runs and batted .284 in 154 games for the Diamondbacks.
